Heather Skousgaard

B.Bus (Hons) QUT, PhD Candidate USyd.

Heather is a consumer psychologist currently undertaking her PhD at the University of Sydney, Australia. Her research interests include consumption symbolism, spirituality and religion, intergenerational meaning transfer, social class, cultural capital, and "post"-modernity.

She has presented at a variety of international conferences including ACR and ANZMAC, and enjoys teaching marketing and consumer behaviour to undergraduate students.


Tristan Skousgaard

Tristan is an admitted solicitor, currently undertaking a research degree at the University of Western Sydney in the School of Law. His thesis concerns the use of private care arrangements in Australia as a method of facilitating family provided elder care in the changing socio-economic environment in Australia.

Prior to commencing his research degree, Tristan was employed as a solicitor for a number of years at all levels of private practice. He has undertaken a range of work in the areas of aged care, health law, estate planning & administration, and property law. In practice he has acted for some of Australia's largest for-profit and not-for-profit organizations and has conducted training programs and developed legal compliance manuals for aged care industry clients. He has enjoyed leading continuing legal education programs for other legal professionals and currently teaches several undergraduate law subjects at UWS.
