Heather is a cultural anthropologist
who specialises in urban anthropology, the anthropology
of religion and the social construction of value.
She is currently pursuing her PhD in this field
at the Australian National University and has enjoyed
sessional tutoring and guest lecturing positions
in both anthropology and sociology at ANU.
Having previously studied and taught
marketing and consumer psychology at QUT, Heather
has also published research in the field of law,
making her a researcher with wide cross-disciplinary
experience. Her research history covers such issues
as gender equality in the Australian legal profession,
intergenerational wealth and meaning transfer, social
class analysis, consumer psychology, cultural capital,
subcultures, and contemporary religious trends.
Her research has been published
in a leading Australian journal and she has presented
at a variety of national and international conferences.
